The decoration of the hotel is very western traditional and also very fine and elegant. Breakfast has a very Austrian feel with Mozart/Beethoven and Bach music accompanying your every bite. The food itself in the restaurant is delicious - I actually liked the preset meals that you can choose, because everything was done to perfection with utmost attention to detail. The rooms were very comfortable. Even though it was pretty cold outside we felt very warm and cozy in our rooms, probably the best in 5 accommodations we've been in Japan so far.

I absolutely loved this hotel and its rustic charm! The vibe of this place is indescribable. The bar was great, I absolutely loved the fireplace area. The ala carte breakfast was delicious! The room was so spacious and clean. The staff knew english very well and were very friendly. Steve was so delightful and helped us with the checkin. The whole experience was just amazing and made our trip to Kariuzawa more perfect.

The staff was great and very helpful! The place has a chapel, making it more suitable for the holidays. The lobby is cozy. The place is classic. The place is very Christmas-sy.

The hotel is a trip back in time, located in a lovely wooded setting not too far from Karuizawa Station. The breakfast was very nice and the staff were extremely attentive.

The location, excellent service, and ambiance make this an excellent choice for a place to stay in Karuizawa. The staff went above and beyond to help us with anything and everything, and our room was very comfortable.

Hotel with old world charm amd service, staff were attentive. Surrounds of hotel well kept and green, wonderful atmosphere. Delightful breakfast!
